Bihar ATS busts cross-border espionage module in Muzaffarpur

The Bihar Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) has uncovered a suspected espionage network in Muzaffarpur district and arrested Mohammad Mustafa from Ratanpur village. Officials allege that he was involved in spying activities linked to Pakistan-based operatives. According to investigators, Mustafa allegedly shared sensitive photographs, videos, and GPS coordinates of strategic locations through encrypted messaging applications. The information was reportedly sent to Pakistan-based arms smuggler Shahzad Bhatti with the help of his associate, Rana Hunain. The probe began after authorities detected suspicious communications and financial transactions. During the investigation, ATS officials recovered electronic devices and other materials, which are currently being examined for further evidence. Mustafa’s father has also been detained for questioning as agencies investigate possible funding sources and local support networks connected to the alleged espionage module. Security agencies remain on high alert as the investigation continues. Officials have indicated that more arrests are possible while intelligence and law enforcement agencies monitor potential national security threats and examine the group’s suspected links to Pakistan. The case remains under investigation.
“CJP trying to destabilize India through fake revolution narratives”

Aaj Tak journalist Aishwarya Paliwal has alleged that the so-called “Cockroach Janta Party” and its associated online groups are attempting to create disturbances in India by circulating narratives across social media platforms and other digital spaces popular among young users. She claimed that certain online networks are using the internet to spread coordinated content intended to generate confusion and weaken public trust in institutions. Paliwal also stated that the Election Commission of India’s website reportedly faced over one lakh cyber attacks on the day election results were announced, suggesting it may be part of a broader effort to disrupt digital systems. According to her, security agencies are currently on alert due to concerns about possible cyber threats targeting key national institutions. Meanwhile, the “Cockroach Janta Party” has been widely discussed online as a satirical and viral internet movement, sparking conversations around youth engagement in politics as well as the spread of misinformation in digital spaces. However, there has been no independent verification of the alleged cyber attack figures, nor any official confirmation regarding claims that the group is involved in coordinated disruptive activities.

Major fire engulfs Delhi’s Shastri park furniture market

A massive fire broke out late Friday night at the furniture market in Delhi’s Shastri Park area near Seelampur Metro station, triggering panic among shopkeepers and nearby residents. Several shops were engulfed in flames as thick smoke billowed across the area while firefighters worked to bring the blaze under control. According to Delhi Fire Services officials, an emergency call was received around 11:57 PM, following which multiple fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The fire spread rapidly due to the presence of highly flammable materials such as plywood, wooden furniture, and adhesives. Since most of the market consisted of tin-roofed structures, the flames quickly intensified. In total, around 25 fire tenders were deployed to control the fire. Tensions rose during the firefighting operation as some locals allegedly pelted stones at fire tenders, accusing authorities of responding too slowly to the incident. Videos circulating on social media showed damaged fire vehicles and large crowds gathered around the firefighters. Residents and shopkeepers reportedly expressed anger over the initial deployment of only a few fire tenders. A Delhi Fire Services officer was injured during the operation after a tin shed collapsed while teams were battling the blaze. Despite the chaos and damage caused to one of the fire tenders, officials said the fire was eventually brought under control, and cooling operations continued throughout the night. So far, no major casualties have been reported in the incident, though several shops are believed to have suffered significant losses. Authorities are expected to investigate the cause of the fire as well as allegations regarding delays in the emergency response.
