“Let all opposition members hang from trees in Delhi”: Ravi Kishan

I was surprised to hear that BJP Member of Parliament Ravi Kishan criticized the Opposition for their rally dismissing the Oppositions efforts and asking whether that protest would really work. Even if these folks hang down from trees it will not change a thing. What is the point of this rally? We say let all the Opposition members dangle from every tree in Delhi and still nothing will happen Kishan said. His comments came during the Opposition protest, where he firmly said that the Opposition demonstrations would not make a difference. This statement highlighted his criticism of the Opposition tactics implying that the Opposition rally would have impact. Kishan remarks added fuel to the political back-and-forth between the BJP and the Opposition reflecting the BJP and the Opposition differing views and strategies, about protests.

Humanities graduate builds electric flying car in Almora

Meet Ravi Tamta, a humanities graduate from Almora who took an unexpected leap into aviation. Without a science background, Ravi spent thirteen years crafting his own flying machine. In August, his prototype, the HAPIDA SKYNeX, successfully completed its first test flight. This innovative electric vehicle showcases his creativity and determination. Growing up in Kaflikhan near Jageshwar Dham, Ravi faced rural hill challenges. He often pondered lengthy hospital journeys during illnesses, dreaming of faster solutions. By 2015, he pursued his dream of building a flying car. Lacking mentors or formal education, Ravi used the internet for guidance. He immersed himself in videos, articles, and hands-on experimentation. His family provided unwavering support through numerous setbacks. Eventually, Ravi founded Hapida Sky Private Limited to advance his project in Almora. The HAPIDA SKYNeX takes off and lands vertically without a runway. It features multiple electric motors, propellers, a lightweight frame, and a cockpit. Batteries power the vehicle instead of traditional aviation fuel or ethanol. Ravi’s journey highlights that education continues far beyond school. The August flight marks a significant milestone and a mere beginning. Ravi still faces a long road before safely transporting passengers commercially. Ensuring aircraft safety demands far more than passion and perseverance.

Goyal highlights India’s strong work Ethic to Dutch investors

Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal added a touch of humor to a serious investment pitch in the Netherlands on Monday. Speaking at the India-Netherlands Business Forum, he playfully told Dutch executives that India’s workforce is eager to clock in the hours. He joked that no one in India will remind you when the workday ends, and weekends? Well, they’re hardly a topic of conversation. Beneath the laughter was a strong message: Dutch companies that establish a presence in India could see their growth potential soar beyond their current expectations. Goyal portrayed India as a reliable partner that values data, technology, and intellectual property, emphasizing the country’s massive infrastructure initiative, which includes around USD 130 billion in government investment and plans to expand the airport network to over 200 locations. He also drew a comparison between the business climates of the two regions. Goyal pointed out that while Europe seems to be adding more regulations, companies are actually looking for simpler processes, quicker approvals, and lighter compliance burdens. In contrast, he noted that the Indian government actively seeks feedback from businesses on how to make their operations smoother. Goyal encouraged firms from both nations to collaborate on design, construction, and investment. The forum, which he co-chaired with Dutch Foreign Trade Minister Sjoerd Sjoerdsma, gathered around 200 representatives from prominent Indian and Dutch companies. It was organized by the Indian Embassy in The Hague in partnership with HSBC Netherlands. The minister is currently on a tour of Germany and the Netherlands, leading a delegation of about 100 businesses and startups. This visit aims to strengthen trade and investment relationships and to explore the opportunities arising from the India-EU free trade agreement.

Although officials have not yet disclosed the final construction schedule, total fence length, or projected completion date, this development significantly strengthens ongoing regional border management efforts.
