ISRO launches GSLV-F18 rocket with NVS-03 satellite
The Indian Space Research Organisation launched the advanced NVS-03 navigation satellite. Scientists placed the spacecraft aboard the GSLV-F18 rocket from Sriharikota. The Indian Space Research Organisation mission aims to bolster India’s indigenous NavIC regional navigation network.
Engineers designed the spacecraft to enhance civilian and defense positioning services. The satellite carries an indigenous atomic clock for extreme timing precision. It also transmits signals across the L1, L5, and S bands.
Officials confirmed that the launch vehicle soared smoothly into the evening sky. Ground stations monitor telemetry parameters continuously as the rocket ascends toward orbit. This mission represents a major milestone for national space sovereignty.
