“I will argue myself”: Kejriwal tells Delhi HC in recusal plea
Arvind Kejriwal informed the Delhi High Court that he will personally argue his case, choosing to represent himself in the excise policy matter. This is notable, as it is uncommon for a senior political leader to act as his own counsel in such a significant case.
Kejriwal has also sought the judge’s recusal from the proceedings. By opting to present his arguments directly, he intends to address the court himself rather than rely on a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
The Delhi High Court is scheduled to hear the matter again on April 13. The case is part of the ongoing excise policy scam proceedings, which have been under judicial consideration for some time.
