Minor rickshaw collision escalates into communal violence

A minor road accident in Neknoor village of Beed district, Maharashtra, escalated into a violent clash between two groups on Saturday, leading to heightened tension in the area.
The incident involved a rickshaw and began with an argument between the parties involved, which quickly spiralled out of control. The dispute intensified, and members of both groups reportedly resorted to stone-pelting.
Police arrived promptly at the scene and intervened to disperse the crowd and bring the situation under control. Authorities were able to restore peace in the area after taking swift action.
Following the incident, police registered cases against several individuals identified and unidentified in connection with the clash. Additional police personnel were deployed in the village to prevent any further disturbance.
As a precautionary measure, the weekly market in the area was temporarily shut to ensure public safety.
