BYD Denza D9 Spied Before Indian Debut- Launch 13th Nov

BYD has brought its luxury sub-brand, Denza, into the Indian automotive market. Photographers recently spied the all-electric Denza D9 luxury MPV in Mumbai. Crew members unloaded the vehicle from an enclosed transporter ahead of its official debut.
The Chinese automaker plans to launch the premium brand in India on November 13, 2026. Alongside the D9 MPV, BYD will introduce the high-performance Z9 GT shooting brake model. Both vehicles showcase BYD’s intent to capture the ultra-luxury electric vehicle segment.
The Denza D9 commands presence with its massive proportions. The MPV measures 5,250 mm in length, 1,960 mm in width, and stands 1,920 mm tall. A generous 3,110 mm wheelbase guarantees exceptional interior cabin space for passengers. Its bold front grille displays vertical chrome slats, giving the EV a commanding stance.
Inside, the seven-seater vehicle prioritizes rear-passenger comfort and modern luxury. Second-row captain seats feature ventilation, heating, zero-gravity modes, and built-in massage functions. Dedicated touchscreens on the armrests control seating configurations and climate parameters effortlessly.
Global markets receive plug-in hybrid and fully electric powertrains for the D9 model. India will host the battery-electric variant equipped with a massive 103.36 kWh battery pack. The drivetrain generates 308 bhp and delivers a driving range between 580 and 600 kilometers.
BYD will import the Denza D9 as a completely built unit. Price estimates range between ₹1 crore and ₹1.10 crore. Upon arrival, the electric MPV will directly challenge luxury rivals like the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
