Old Trafford Witnesses Stunning European Comeback

Manchester United snapped their nightmarish nine-game winless streak in sensational style, mounting a thrilling second-half fightback to defeat AS Roma 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League at Old Trafford.
The contest began disastrously for Michael Carrick’s side. Roma capitalized on early defensive vulnerabilities, opening the scoring in the 11th minute through Matías Soulé. Six minutes later, a handball inside the box gave Donyell Malen the chance to double the visitors’ lead from the penalty spot, sending United into the halftime break trailing 0-2 under a cloud of heavy pressure.
However, the Red Devils emerged after the interval transformed. The turn of the tide arrived in the 58th minute when United earned a spot-kick. Captain Bruno Fernandes stepped up and smashed home the penalty at the second attempt after a retake was ordered, igniting the home crowd and halving the deficit.
United pushed forward relentlessly, and the dramatic climax belonged to Matheus Cunha. In the 83rd minute, the Brazilian forward pounced on a defensive error inside the box to slot home the equalizer. Just three minutes later, Cunha struck again, driving a powerful effort past Devis Vásquez off the near post after being set up by substitute Shea Lacey to complete the incredible 3-2 turnaround.
Though Cunha was shown a second yellow card in stoppage time for a reckless challenge, ten-man Manchester United held firm through injury time to secure a desperately needed victory and reignite their European campaign.
