“TMC cut drinking water to Baharampur slums”: Adhir Ranjan
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury has alleged that workers of the Trinamool Congress are disrupting drinking water supply to slum residents in Baharampur, claiming they suspect these residents did not support the party in elections.
Chowdhury, contesting the Baharampur Assembly Constituency, said such incidents are not new and accused the ruling party of deliberately targeting those perceived to be political opponents. He alleged that economically weaker sections are being denied basic necessities due to their voting choices.
Chowdhury also expressed frustration over what he described as a lack of support from within his own party, stating that he is “fighting alone” against the situation. He maintained that such actions are unjust and contribute to fear among already vulnerable communities.
